How to identify a genuine email

Image of a genuine email from mbna
  1. A genuine email from us will always contain the last 4 digits of your credit card number, both at the top and towards the bottom of an email.
  2. We’ll always greet you with your title and surname.
  3. Any links will only take you to pages within our sites: http://www.mbna.ie or https://www.bankcardservices.co.uk.

We may use our research agency to collate your feedback from time to time - these emails will link to: https://ecollector.responsetek.com/

We will never ask you to verify any account information, your PIN, or any password details in an email. To request or supply any information, you'll need to log in and send us a secure message through Online Card Services which is protected by the advanced security systems of bankcardservices.co.uk.

Who is your email from?

Emails from MBNA will come from one of these addresses only:

customerservice@mbna.ie
news@youraccount.mbna.ie

Help ensure the safe delivery of legitimate emails by adding these addresses to your address book.

Other things to look out for

Counterfeit or ‘phishing’ emails may link to URLs which are very similar to our legitimate website addresses. Look closely for spelling differences or the use of symbols, e.g. www.mdna.ie or www.verify-mbna.ie.

Our emails use distinct language and tone. Look out for over casual language, misspelling or irregularities which just don’t appear rational to you.
